Great stay in a cozy vibe
Super comfy place! The breakfast was legit, way better than other spots, and the staff were super chill. It's a bit noisy if you're near the stairs, but my room was fab, clean, and the bed? So comfy! Parking can be tight, but I felt my car was safe in the garage.

A self service breakfast had something for everyone. We dined out at Sporting, set minutes away from the hotel. We will be back as the property met requirements.

Plenty of options, outstanding food.

Narrow and steep garage entrance could challenge larger vehicles. Breakfast inconsistencies can mess up a morning-raw croissants on one morning were a disappointment. Navigating stairs with luggage is a hassle for some due to the old building design.

A bit noisy building, quite far from historical center

Friendly reception, good breakfast, secure underground car park. We walked to old city - no need to drive while there.
The room had one window but it was very high - so although it "overlooked" a courtyard, you didn't know this unless you were 6ft tall. Essentially no view - a bit cell-like. Don't know what other rooms were like, but ok for sleeping

The breakfast spread was a good feast-think buttery pastries and creamy yoghurts! Plus, being just a stroll from the old city means you can easily hop over to L'Homme Tranquille for some tasty local fare.
But really, it just added to the charm of the place.

Very friendly and accommodating staff not to mention very helpful when it came to local knowledge. We would definitely stay here again
Not quite as clean as I like but this related more to the areas around the taps, plug hole and shower head which had limescale deposits and some fluff that was missed on hoovering. Otherwise, the bed linen was perfect, the bed we had was actually brand new and we overlooked the courtyard.

Convenient for old town and restaurants
The room was very small and claustrophobic. The en-suite bathroom took up a lot of the room so that the bed was in an alcove and not easy to get into. Luckily the weather was not too warm as I would imagine the room would have been very hot in mid-summer.

What shines and what doesn't
The staff seemed happy to be at work , and the room was spotlessly clean with a real bath.
The parking garage was tight , making it unsuitable for larger vehicles.

The hotel has just been taken over by new owners, so changes are in progress with decor etc. The room was clean and tidy, but a bit old fashioned. It was within a 10/15 minute walk to the city centre which was the main reason for booking this hotel. There is also secure underground car parking.
At the moment, the hotel feels a bit tired and worn, but this is in the process of being upgraded by the new owners who seemed very nice. I would recommend this hotel once the upgrades have taken place.

Ideal place for a quick stop over - very welcoming and comfortable. Free wi-fi.
Lack of air conditioning was very uncomfortable on a 35 degree summer evening.
